Yamaha Power Pay Awarded To The Two Highest-Finishing Eligible Teams At Pickwick Lake

San Antonio, TX – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its 19th Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.  College fishing’s longest-running National Championship event boasted an elite field of 400 anglers and a total payout of over $30,000 in prizes & contingencies.  One of those major contingencies awarded at the conclusion of the event was Yamaha Power Pay.  The tournament contingency program offered by Yamaha paid out $2,000 to the highest finishing qualified team and $1,000 to the second highest finishing qualified team.

By finishing the 2024 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops as the highest finishing Yamaha Power Pay eligible team,  Nathan Reynolds & Banks Shaw earned $2,000. The duo from 3rd ranked University of North Alabama was in 13th place after Day 1 of tournament competition on Pickwick Lake.  Reynolds & Shaw weighed in one of the biggest bags on Day 2 of the event, 24.11 pounds, to jump 10 places and finish in 3rd with a two-day total weight of 42.72 pounds.

The second highest finishing Yamaha Power Pay qualified team at Pickwick Lake was William Tew & Brayden Nichols.  Representing Top 5 ranked LSU-Shreveport, Tew & Nichols finished the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops in 5th place with 41.73 pounds.  As the second highest finishing Yamaha Power Pay qualified team, Tew & Nichols earned $1,000.

The Yamaha Power Pay Program is a contingency program for tournament anglers who own, and run with, a Yamaha outboard motor on their boat (Pro, Semi-Pro, and amateur anglers).  Since launching Power Pay in October 2019, Yamaha Marine has awarded over $1 million to anglers competing in saltwater and freshwater tournaments across the country.  All Association of Collegiate Anglers events are eligible for Yamaha Power Pay. For a complete list of sanctioned tournaments for 2024 and other Power Pay information including official rules, terms and conditions, visit www.yamahapowerpay.com.
