Since the launch of the Benton pen in 2017, The James Brand has long been committed to making products that support daily living. From sketching designs, to journaling after an epic adventure, to filing out travel forms, the people of James believe communication is connection: to people, to places, and to experiences. Doubling down on this ethos, the expansion of the Communications collection includes two new signature products; The Gatecliff notebook sleeve and The Burwell click pen, and the redesigned launch of the best-selling Stilwell compact pen.
The Gatecliff is the first major softgoods product for the brand, and is constructed of fully welded water-resistant Cordura™ with PU coated zipper for serious wear resistance on the exterior and a plush microfiber interior to house essential documents, passport, credit cards, and mobile phone. Included is a TJB notebook for jotting ideas, plans or sketches, making it the perfect compact travel companion for long adventures and everyday experiences. The interior pen sleeve easily pairs with either the new Burwell click pen or redesigned Stilwell compact pen.
The Burwell – available in a polished stainless steel or in a PVD-coated black finish – is the second click pen in The James Brand offering, featuring a stainless steel two-part barrel in a compact design to easily slip into the pocket without risk of bending or breaking. The buttery smooth clicker allows for one-handed operation, and machined-in dot pattern along the barrel assures positive control, even in wet or slippery conditions. Finally, the metal-injection-molded (MIM) clip provides positive retention but makes it easy to deploy from your pocket or Gatecliff pen sleeve. The Burwell is offered with Parker-style D2 ink refills for a lifetime of use.
