The Fowl Life Team Set to Attend The 52nd SCI Convention in Nashville, TN.

The Fowl Life team with Chad Belding is thrilled to be attending The 52nd SCI convention in Nashville, TN, Jan 31 through Feb 1st, 2024. The Fowl Life has worked proudly with SCI for 5 years, as they are aligned with SCI’s mission which is to protect the heritage of hunting for future generations. Through The Fowl Life’s network and relationships, they are able to reach hunters, share the advocacy work SCI leads to protect our freedom to hunt and inspire hunters to get involved with SCI. The team is eagerly anticipating reuniting with old and new friends from across the globe at the end of the month.

About The Event:

As the Safari Club International (SCI) Convention prepares to make its mark in Nashville for the 2024 edition, it’s essential to take a reflective journey to appreciate the years of its increased success. Since the first time in 1973, the SCI Convention has evolved from a simple gathering to a celebrated institution recognized worldwide, leaving a monumental mark on the hunting and outdoor community.

From Vegas to Nashville: A Strategic Move

The decision to relocate from the neon glamor of Las Vegas to the soulful beat of Nashville was not arbitrary. It was a strategic move that proved to be a game-changer not only for the event itself, but the cultural comfort of the attendees. Nashville, with its warm hospitality, outstanding food and entertainment, and cultural richness, provided the perfect home for the SCI Convention to thrive. This move reinforced the event’s commitment to creating an intimate space for hunters and outdoors people to convene, share, learn, and celebrate together.

A Global Gathering

The success of the SCI Convention lies greatly within its ability to transcend geographical boundaries. What started as a regional gathering has now become a global phenomenon. The convention’s reach extends far beyond its host city and previous host cities, attracting participants, exhibitors, and experts from every corner of the globe. This global appeal has not only diversified the experiences offered at the convention but has also turned it into a melting pot of diverse hunting opportunities and traditions shared.

“Being a duck hunter, one probably wouldn’t think of my time in the woods as a safari. This just isn’t true. Every time we are blessed to be in the field or on the water, we are experiencing the safari. SCI is working relentlessly for ALL hunter’s rights on a daily basis and this is the number one reason why we all need to become a member of Safari Club International. Our rights are being threatened every day and it is our responsibility to preserve the culture of hunting for future generations to come. Attending the SCI convention is a must for me each year to witness the power of hunting as I walk the floor, attend the seminars, and participate in the banquets each evening! Nashville is one of the best cities in the country and when you combine hunting, great food, great music, and great people, you get exactly what SCI is all about! Can’t wait to see you all there!”

Exponential Growth in Attendance and Participation

Year after year, the SCI Convention has witnessed a steady rise in attendance and participation. It has become a must-attend event for all levels of hunters, eager to celebrate the outdoor lifestyle and culture. The exponential growth in numbers is a testament to the convention’s ability to resonate with a broad spectrum of individuals who share a common love for hunting, conservation, and the outdoors. SCI has proven time and time again, to be truly “First For Hunters!”

Unforgettable Experiences

The success of the SCI Convention is not just measured in numbers but also in the countless memorable moments and milestones it has created every year. From exclusive workshops with celebrity and professional hunters to unique opportunities like this year’s meet and greet with the Olympic shooting team, each convention holds the potential to create memories of a lifetime. The convention has become a platform where like-minded folks can connect, learn, and celebrate the lifestyle that encompasses their passion for hunting. This year, more events scheduled range from essential life skills courses, like how to properly sharpen a knife, to the unique opportunity to hear from Jim Shockey, speaking on becoming a writer for SCI, which eventually turned into his first book, Call Me Hunter, and many more!

“Just weeks away from SCI Convention has me thrilled to reconnect with our SCI family from all over the world. With this year’s theme, “The Future of Hunting”, I can only imagine the conversations and presentations for the week! No doubt they will be unforgettable. Women Go Hunting will host their second Mix & Mingle on Saturday morning which was a massive hit last year with the ladies. This is the first year that Women Go Hunting will have a booth on the show floor and I will be spending a great deal of time there so come and see me. I have no doubt that Nashville will present another SCI Convention for the history books!”

Positive Impact on Conservation Efforts

Beyond its role as a celebratory gathering, the SCI Convention consistently contributes to conservation efforts. The event serves as a platform for raising awareness about the importance of responsible hunting and the preservation of natural habitats. Through partnerships, sponsorships, collaborative initiatives, etc, the convention has played a pivotal role in supporting wildlife conservation on a global scale.

Looking Ahead: The Anticipation Builds for SCI Convention 2024

As the SCI Convention continues to build on its legacy, the anticipation for the 2024 edition in a few short weeks in Nashville is rising.

“SCI, and our entire global membership, is thrilled to return to Music City for its 52nd Annual Hunters’ Convention and Ultimate Sportsmen’s Market,” said SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin. “This year’s Convention, often called the Super Bowl of Hunting Shows, will bring the best of the hunting and conservation communities together for four days of collaboration, celebration, and advocacy that highlights the importance of our way of life. There is truly no other event in the world where all aspects of hunting, angling, and conservation can unite under one roof while also getting priority access to some of the biggest names in entertainment every single night.

If you haven’t already, make sure to purchase tickets and an SCI membership to join us for what will be another unforgettable Convention. We look forward to seeing you in Nashville!”
