Team Remington’s Powell and Sharpe Take Top Sporting Clay Titles

Lonoke, Arkansas –– Team Remington pro shooters are enjoying early season success at premier National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) events. The sunshine state of Florida, home of the Caribbean Cup and Jack Link’s Cup, has been fruitful for Remington’s roster of top shooters in the sporting clays discipline.

At the Caribbean Cup, held at the Vero Beach Clay Shooting venue in Vero Beach, FL, February 5-12, 2024, it was Brandon Powell reining supreme over 441 competitors in the Kolar Main Event. Powell won the event by six targets over the second-place finisher. Teammates Turner Parcell and Todd Hitch finished third and fourth respectively in the Main Event. “Brandon is our newest member to the Big Green team,” says Remington Marketing Director Joel Hodgdon. “He is one of the most talented shotgun shooters and we are excited to watch continue his dominance in the sporting clays arena,” says Hodgdon. In addition to winning the Main Event, Powell claimed HOA in the Lois Neely Memorial Prelim, Runner Up in the Super Sporting event, and 3rd in the Federal Challenge.

Besides a fourth-place finish in the Main Event, Todd Hitch was the Junior Main Event Runner Up, won the Junior Super Sporting event and finished 3rd Overall in Super Sporting out of 277 shooters. He finished Runner Up in the Lois Neely Memorial and 3rd in the FITASC Gary Gray Memorial.

Moving inland on the Florida swing, the Remington team continued it’s great shooting at the Jack Link’s Cup held at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, FL. The event ran from February 13-18, 2024, and several Big Green team members had excellent results.

Madison Sharpe captured the Lady division title in the Jack Link’s Cup Main Event over 96 competitors. She also won several events including the Red and Blue Course Prelims and placed fourth in both the 5-Stand and Super Sporting events.

Brandon Powell continued his impressive two week run finishing Runner Up in the Jack Link’s Cup Main Event out of 1,107 shooters and was the overall winner in the 5-Stand Event. Turner Purcell finished an impressive third place overall in the Main Event and was the Runner Up in the Junior Main Event. Todd Hitch had several great results at the event including a Runner Up finish in the FITASC Junior Event, a third place overall in Wednesday’s Blue Prelim and the top spot in the Blue Prelim Junior Event.
