Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews had a great showing at the 2024 NFAA Outdoor Target Nationals this weekend located in Yankton, South Dakota, sweeping the Men’s Pro Division and claiming three podiums overall.
Mathews Shooters Bodie Turner, Chris Perkins, and Stephan Hansen went 1,2, and 3 sweeping the Men’s Pro division with Turner taking home his first Men’s Freestyle Professional title.
Turner and Perkins were neck and neck throughout the entire event, both ending the first day of the event with a total score of 599. The second day landed Turner and Perkins in yet another tie, both with scores of 1499 forcing them into a one-arrow closest to center shootoff, where Turner was able to secure first place for Mathews.
“It was good conditions, being outdoors,” stated Turner. “Everyone shot great, I just edged Chris out on closest to center after we both shot nearly perfect rounds of one down.”
Team Mathews had 9 shooters overall in the event with many of them placing within the top 10 of their division. The Outdoor Target Nationals marked the last event of the 2024 NFAA season, with Team Mathews proudly coming out on top.
