Team Krieghoff won over a dozen State Titles and numerous trophies at the 2023 Pennsylvania State Trap Championships. The second-largest trap championship in the nation drew over 1,600 competitors to the PSSA home grounds in Elysburg, PA.
Ian Darroch won the PA State Singles Champion title with an almost perfect 199/200 and finished HOA Runner-up. Don Schaffer, Jr, PA State Handicap Champion, won his title outright with a 97 and took home HAA Runner-up honors.
Deborah Ohye-Neilson dominated the Lady 2 category winning the PA Singles and Doubles titles and finishing HAA Runner-up and HOA Champion. Clare Schaffer stood out as a rising star with Lady 1 State Singles and Handicap Championship titles. Recent Penn State graduate Luke Cowart won the Junior Gold Doubles and HOA titles.
Sub Vet Ken Darroch and Veteran Frank Pascoe put Team Krieghoff on the podium with their State Doubles Championship titles in their respective categories. Mike Blaisdell stepped up as Non-resident HAA and HOA Veteran Champion.
Krieghoff rising stars Joe Breck, Wesley Beaver, Mary Schaffer, and Wyatt Debrie also posted top finishes.
Richard Marshall, Jr, 2023 ATA All-American Team Captain, won the Non-Resident HAA and HOA Champion titles and posted the event’s highest scores.
