Team Easton Storms into 2024 Indoor Season with Total Gold Sweep in Switzerland

Team Easton competitors swept every gold and silver medal, and a total of 11 out of 12 podiums, at the just-concluded Lausanne Excellence Challenge- the first stage of the Indoor World Series culminating with The Vegas Shoot in this upcoming February.

A spectacular one-arrow shootoff between Netherlands star Mike Schloesser and French sensation Nico Girard capped the compound men’s competition, with Mike shooting a dead-center ten to Nico’s ten liner to win the event.  Both compound stars chose the surgically-precise Easton X23, the world’s most-winning indoor shaft.  The men’s compound bronze was captured by Team Easton star Mathias Fullerton of Denmark, who was also the top qualifier in the ranking round.

Women’s compound saw a tight match between Easton shooters and Italian stars Paola Natale and World Champion Marcella Tonioli, with Paola taking the gold.

In men’s recurve, where every top competitor shot Easton shafts, Team Easton star Steve Willer of Netherlands got off to his second consecutive World Series season start with a win, over up and coming French athlete Jerome Bidault.  Bronze went to Alessandro Paoli of Italy.

In women’s recurve, Slovakian archer Denisa Barankova defeated Netherlands stalwart Laura Van der Winkel in the gold medal match, with bronze going to Reena Parent of Estonia.

The next major indoor events for the World Series include the GT Open in Luxembourg, the Taipei Archery Open in Taiwan, and the Nimes Sud-de-France Indoor, before the grand finale in Las Vegas.

Easton shafts are the exclusive choice of the world’s best indoor competitors.  Unmatched accuracy and Made in USA quality are just some of the reasons.  See the entire lineup of world dominating Easton shafts at your authorized Easton dealer, or visit www.eastonarchery.com
