Accokeek, MD — Beretta is pleased to announce the signing of a new athlete to our professional sporting clays competition team – Connor Daniel. Daniel will compete with a standard DT11 Sporting in national and international sporting clays competitions.
Led to pursue sporting clays as a new sport during the pandemic, Daniel was hooked from the first shot, and now, 50,000 rounds later, he is a solid junior competitor who is a 2-time NSCA All-American Sub Junior Team Captain and NSCA Championship Tour Sub Junior 1st-place finisher. Daniel was named to the 2023 USA Sporting Clays Junior FITASC and Sporting Teams, based on his remarkable season last year, which included being crowned the 2022 World English Sub Junior Champion.
In just the first three years of his shooting career, Daniel has amassed a total of 3 HOA titles and 19 champion titles.
“I’m honored to join Team Beretta and look forward to representing the team and the company well. I love my DT11 Sporting. It’s very reliable and gives me the extra confidence needed every time I step into the box. It’s been a dream of mine to join the team alongside my coach Zach Kienbaum, who has greatly influenced my shooting journey. Our family motto is ‘always do the right thing and be respectful.’ Every Team Beretta member represents those attributes on and off the field which is why I chose Beretta. In many ways, the team has already become family to me,” Daniel said regarding joining Team Beretta.
Daniel has had an exceptional start to the 2023 season with three HOA FITASC titles at the Southeast Regional, Seminole Cup, and Jacks Link Cup, as well as eight champion titles. He hopes to continue building himself into a well-rounded competitor and become a positive role model for young athletes.
“We are excited to sign Connor as the newest member of Team Beretta. His 2023 achievements speak for themselves, including his three HOA FITASC wins. Connor’s drive, passion, and skill, in addition to his professional manner at such a young age, set a great example for youth and adult competitors alike. We appreciate the trust Connor has placed in Team Beretta, our premium firearms, and are excited to help him achieve great success far into the future,” Amanda Popp, Sports Marketing Manager, said.
The DT11 series of shotguns was developed for the demanding requirements of the professional clay target shooter. Built with a single-minded pursuit to win, the DT11 platform is truly professional grade and features a detachable trigger assembly and proprietary Steelium Pro barrels.
Daniel will join his fellow Team Beretta athletes at the upcoming 2023 World English Sporting Clays Championship held at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in High Wycombe, England, from July 3-8, 2023.
