The TT Medic MASCAL Pack was reviewed by three members of the NTOA. As part of the Member Tested and Recommended Program, the officers tested the TT Medic MASCAL Pack while on the job for maximum testing for design, performance, application, versatility, and other pertinent features.
“The materials and construction are all high quality. The whole pack is very well built and stood up to rough handling extremely well,” commented the Virginia Officer. “If your department is looking for [a] mass casualty bag that can easily fit in a cruiser and can treat four to five victims, I would recommend this pack.”
Designed specifically for the needs of Active Threat Medics (ATM), the TT Medic MASCAL Pack is a first aid treatment pack that is optimized for simultaneous initial treatment of multiple wounded persons when individual treatment is not immediately possible.
The officer from Georgia stated, “There is no doubt the Mascal Pack is absolutely a great medic bag for professional duty use. Although it is designed for multiple casualty incidents, it is more than sufficient to serve as a standard medic bag. I have used this pack on several operations since I received it and love it. This is a great bag for any medic to have in the rotation.”
One of the key features of the TT Medic MASCAL Pack is its practical and efficient design. The front of the backpack is equipped with four Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) pouches, allowing for quick and easy access to essential supplies. The interior layout is strategically organized to accommodate a large stock of medical supplies for emergency operations involving mass casualties (the pack does not come equipped with medical supplies).
Additionally, the sides of the pack are equipped with MOLLE in a laser-cut design, providing ample space for attaching additional gear or accessories. The pack comes with a handle for easy transport and includes a scissor bag for added convenience.
“The TT Medic MASCAL Pack is designed and constructed well. The intended use, medical care in a mass causality event, is intuitive given the tear-away design for the individual IFAKs. When testing this bag, I utilized it as a team medic bag and it easily stowed enough bleeding, airway, and breathing equipment for an eight-person team. The slim profile made it easily worn with body armor and avoided snags in stacks/close-quarter movement. I appreciate the individual loops and storage units inside the bag, keeping the contents organized. So far I am very pleased with this bag and intend to keep it as our team medical bag,” commented the Vermont officer.
The TT Medic MASCAL Pack weighs 4.06 lbs./1.84 kg. and measures 18.11H x 11.02W x 3.94D/46H x 28W x 10D cm. and is made from Cordura® 700 Denier (MultiCam 500 Denier). It is available in Black, Olive, and Coyote for an MSRP of $299.00 and MultiCam for an MSRP of $339.00.
