S3DA Partners with NASP

Williamsburg, KY – S3DA is pleased to announce the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) has now become the most recent partnering organization to sign with the program. The mission of the Scholastic Archery Association is to foster, educate, and guide youth in the areas of indoor target, 3-D and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices with a goal of providing archery and bowhunting opportunities for youth in after or non-school, community-oriented settings. This mission works hand in hand with NASP® which promotes international style target archery as part of in-school curriculum in grades 4-12.

NASP®, the world’s largest youth archery organization has introduced over 21 million students to the sport. S3DA excels at providing a “next-step” program that allows for transition to partnering organizations, collegiate opportunities, and conservation efforts. Both programs introduce youth to the sport of archery which teaches discipline, focus, self-control, and patience. Between S3DA and its partnering organizations an entirely new generation of youth will generate a lifetime of passion for the sport of archery and the outdoors.

S3DA Executive Director, Holly Helton, stated, “We are very pleased to include NASP® as our newest partnering organization. NASP® has long been at the forefront of the youth archery movement. The NASP® curriculum is a well-oiled machine that introduces tons of school children to the sport of archery every year. NASP® and S3DA will work hand-in-hand by offering the chance to transition from beginning archery into different disciplines and a lifetime of enjoyment as an archer and outdoorsman.”

NASP® President Tommy Floyd said, “NASP® is very proud to work with yet another committed, positive and growing youth archery partner like Scholastic 3-D Archery! Everyone that I have met that is associated with S3DA has been wonderful and shares a deep passion for our shared common mission – helping young people experience the joy of shooting archery. We believe that now is the time for all youth shooting sports to work together to grow our sport. NASP® and S3DA successfully partnered for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital fundraiser and plan to again for 2024. We look forward to the year ahead in promoting each other and our work for student archers!”

This partnership will be starting off with a bang with the second collaborative fundraising effort between the two organizations which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The two originally worked together in 2023 to raise over $6,000 for the hospital with plans to make 2024 bigger and better. The virtual tournament will commence in January with no cost to participate. For more information visit www.s3da.net or www.NASP®schools.org.
