S3DA Breaks Registration Record For 2024 Vegas National Championship

Williamsburg, KY – Scholastic 3-D Archery in conjunction with the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) is set to host the 7th annual S3DA Vegas National Championship on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Youth archers will compete in the format of the famous Vegas Shoot, which is three arrows per end at twenty yards for a total of 30 arrows shot in ten ends. Participation numbers continue to increase with nearly 350 archers from across thirty-two states registered for the event! S3DA archers are encouraged to register for the S3DA Vegas National Championship prior to the last day of registration, which is Thursday, January 25th, 2024.

S3DA is incredibly thankful for the partnership with the National Field Archery Association. NFAA staff are very accommodating to S3DA which allows for a successful youth event and increases numbers for both events. With the S3DA tournament being held on Thursday morning, archers have the opportunity to transition from the S3DA event directly into The Vegas Shoot. Many of the S3DA archers get to meet and mingle with professional archers from around the world as NFAA hosts a Meet the Pros on Thursday afternoon.

Kayla Bolton, S3DA Social Media Marketing Coordinator states, “Seasoned and first-time archers get very excited when you talk about The Vegas Shoot, as it is the largest and one of the most prestigious archery tournaments in the world. This event brings together thousands of archers from around the world. S3DA is proud to be one small piece of the puzzle that transitions youth from beginners to well-rounded archers that are learning life-long skills.”

S3DA looks forward to another record-breaking attendance at the Eastern Indoor National Championship on February 29th – March 3rd, 2024 in Owensboro, Kentucky at the Owensboro Convention Center as well as the Western Indoor National Championship at the Easton Archery Center on April 1st-2nd, 2023 in Salt Late City, Utah. If you are an S3DA youth participant and interested in either of those events, you can register via Sport:80 today!

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
