GSM Outdoors pro Marshall Robinson has had a decent year. The 19-year-old wunderkind claimed Polaris Rookie of the Year honors, as well as an invite to the Bass Pro Tour, at the 6th and final stop of the Tackle Warehouse Invitational series on the Mississippi River.
“It feels surreal to accomplish one of my biggest childhood dreams,” said Robinson. “I’ve always wanted to make it to the big leagues, and it’s awesome to be able to do it at 19. I’ve gone from traveling to watch these guys fish to traveling to fish against them.”
“Anybody that has kept up with Marshall has seen this ROY long in the making,” said GSM Fishing Senior VP Crispin Powley. “We are very proud of Marshall. Not only for what he brings to the sport of fishing, but to our team and culture as well. We look forward to working with him for many more years and accolades.
“I credit part of my success this year to GSM and their fishing products, especially the soft plastics from Yamamoto,” said the South Carolina pro. “In my opinion, the Senko is the most versatile finesse bait in all conditions. In addition, the Zako is as deadly of a trailer as you’ll find on a chatterbait. It’s a relationship that I’m very thankful for.”
