NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, recognizes Ammunition Depot for its continued support of NSSF’s First Shots® program.
Founded in 2011, Ammunition Depot is one of the largest online retailers and nationwide suppliers of ammunition, firearms, firearm accessories and tactical gear in the United States. Ammunition Depot for several years has served as the ammunition-fulfillment storage center for the First Shots program. In this capacity, Ammunition Depot stores, processes orders, and ships all ammunition to First Shots host ranges. The services provided by Ammunition Depot are valued at $20,000 annually in support of First Shots.
“In its support for First Shots and other NSSF range programs, Ammunition Depot has gone the extra mile to not only ensure the programs have the resources they need to be successful but also to make their operation efficient for host ranges. They bring the term ‘sponsorship’ to a whole new level. We are thankful for their generosity and dedication that assist developing new shooters and keeping experienced ones engaged in our sports,” said Zach Snow, NSSF’s Director, Member Development.
“We’re proud to provide the tools that facilitate safe and enjoyable shooting experiences for new and seasoned participants alike,” said Dan Wolgin, CEO of Ammunition Depot. “At Ammunition Depot, we see our support of the NSSF’s First Shots program as more than a sponsorship; it’s a commitment to uphold the shooting sports traditions and nurture a new generation of enthusiasts.”
NSSF’s First Shots is an introductory and refresher program made available through host target-shooting ranges across the country. By providing educational experiences that are safe, fun and memorable, host ranges are having great success in attracting first timers, further engaging new gun owners and in reactivating lapsed participants. Surveys show that more than 43 percent of First Shots participants are converted to target-shooting enthusiasts who individually spend on average more than $600 annually on their shooting sports endeavors.
NSSF provides host ranges with all the program materials and promotional resources to help offset overall event expenses. Shooting ranges and firearm instructors can learn how to become a First Shots host here or by contacting Ann Gamauf at 203-426-1320 ext. 247.
