Nosler®, Inc. a global leader in the manufacture of bullets, cartridge cases, ammunition, firearms and suppressors, is proud to announce the impressive achievements of its sponsored shooters at the 2024 NRL Hunter Grand Slam Championship.
Nosler Sponsored Shooters Nick Gadarzi and James Rowe took first place in the team category earning a total score of 273 points and finishing 8 points ahead of the second-place team. In the Ladies division, Nosler Sponsored Shooter Andi Cloaninger secured second place with a score of 99 points.
The match included 18 stages designed to simulate hunting scenarios across varied terrain. Competitors were challenged to locate, range, read wind, estimate target size, and transition between firing positions, with an emphasis on non-prone positional shooting. The stages were set among rolling hills with mixed vegetation, ranging from creek bottoms to wooded draws and open valleys.
Reflecting on the competition, Rowe said, “The 2024 NRL Hunter Grand slam wasn’t the toughest in terms of course design, but the level of competition in the team division was the highest I’ve ever experienced. Every shot mattered. Our ammunition was consistent, and our rifles were extremely accurate. We knew that if we did our part, each shot would land as intended.”
All three sponsored shooters utilized 6.5mm Creedmoor rifles equipped with Nosler’s 140gr RDF (Reduced Drag Factor) bullets and small rifle primer brass. Their choice of equipment was crucial to their success highlighting the reliability and precision of Nosler products in competitive shooting scenarios.
