Nosler Shooters Place 4th at the NRL 2023 Grand Slam Championship

Laramie, WY –– Nosler, a world- renowned manufacturer of high-quality ammunition and shooting products, proudly congratulates Pro Team shooters James Rowe and David McNeil for their 4th place finish at the National Rifle League’s (NRL) 2023 Grand Slam Championship. The duo showcased their marksmanship while shooting Nosler’s 6.5mm 140gr RDF bullets, achieving a total score of 253. Their performance landed them just 2 points shy of the 2nd and 3rd place competitors.

The NRL’s Grand Slam Championship is an invitation-only event that mirrors the pressure faced by hunters in real-life scenarios. Created by Collin Fossen, a seasoned expert in field match operations and competition, this design is meant to challenge all hunters to their personal marksmanship limits. The competition featured targets that were strategically hidden, requiring shooters to not only locate but also make precise wind and range calculations. The targets ranged in size from 1 to 4 minutes at varying distances, with a maximum range of 1000 yards. Fossens’ mission was to test participants’ ability as “well-rounded riflemen,” with skills needed that may not be commonly practiced.

James Rowe, Pro Team shooter and Controls Engineering Manager at Nosler, expressed his devotion to Nosler bullets, stating, “I use our bullets because of the Accuracy, ease of load workup, and Ballistic Coefficient (BC) consistency. Knowing where every shot should land leaves every miss to the shooter. We had a rough day one due to a few errors on our part, but shot exceptionally well on day two, dropping only two shots total to climb our way back into 4th place.”

Rowe and McNeil’s success are a testament to the quality and performance of Nosler’s RDF (Reduced Drag Factor) match bullets. RDF bullets are specially crafted for those seeking peak performance from their competition rifles; the Nosler RDF line is engineered to achieve exceptionally high BCs, resulting in the flattest trajectory and minimal wind drift possible.

Nosler takes great pride in showcasing Rowe and McNeil’s skills and teamwork. The company looks forward to its ongoing commitment to equipping shooters with top-tier bullets and ammunition, enabling them to excel in the sport of shooting.
