As Xpedition introduces two new models the Xlite™ family of bows in 2024, the Xlite29™ and Xlite35™, the centerpiece of innovation comes in the proprietary MAGNITE™. This new material used in the risers and several components of the 2024 bows, as well as the 2023 Xlite™ models, is a metal matrix nanocomposite that stands to be the most innovative material to archery in over a decade.

MAGNITE™ is differentiated from commercial grade aluminum alloys by the crystal lattice structure. What’s this mean to the bowhunter and archer? MAGNITE™ MN8000 used to manufacture the X-Lite Riser is 21% stronger than commercial grade aluminum. MAGNITE™ also has 3 times more vibrational dampening over aluminum and 20 times more vibrational dampening over commercial-grade carbon fiber. Most obvious when in hand, MAGNITE™ is 33% lighter than traditional 6061 Aluminum and 6% lighter than commercial grade carbon fiber.
