Ford Motor Company and the Bronco Wild Fund donated a Bronco Badlands S-U-V with Sasquatch off-road package to the National Park Service. It will be used in Bandelier National Monument, as a firefighting command vehicle.
The 33,000-acre Bandelier National Monument is in northern New Mexico, about a two-hour drive north of Albuquerque.
The vehicle includes satellite, cellular and radio-based communications equipment, a tablet computer and a drone to survey situations from above.
There are also front and rear locking differentials, 35-inch off-road tires, and an integrated winch.
The vehicle was modified by Darley which has a long history of providing firefighting and defense equipment.
