The DSC family is saddened to learn of the passing of Immediate Past President Michael Vernone.
Michael was a force of a personality who helped lead DSC the past few years with a passion for conserving wildlife that was unmatched, and a gift for connecting like-minded people around a worthwhile cause.
There was never any guessing when Michael walked into a room. His voice carried far and wide and the smiles from folks who knew he was in the building were evident.
“We will all miss Michael a great deal,” said current DSC President Tim Fallon. “What a powerful force for what DSC stands for. He was fun to work with, knowledgeable and passionate about accomplishing our many Conservation, Advocacy and Education projects. He was a great mentor and I truly enjoyed working with him, as did we all.”
