Accokeek, MD – For many years, Benelli has been firmly committed to supporting wildlife and habitat conservation in order to ensure our collective hunting and firearms heritage will stand for future generations. Recently, Benelli teamed with conservation leader Delta Waterfowl to raise funds for the organization’s waterfowl management programs and its efforts to conserve breeding duck habitat.
Benelli and Delta Waterfowl kicked off the Benelli Challenge late last year, with Benelli donating 25 Super Black Eagle 3 20-gauge shotguns in Realtree Max-5 as the throw-down. All donors who made a $10,000 gift to Delta Waterfowl received one of these shotguns. In all, fourteen donors made new, qualifying gifts from November 25 through the December 31 Benelli Challenge closing, for a collective fund-raising total of $176,282.
In addition to the Benelli Challenge donations, Delta Waterfowl included one gun in its 2023 Million Duck Spring Sweepstakes, which ended May 5. That effort brought in over $63,000 in donations, and another Super Black Eagle 3 will be part of the organization’s Fall Sweepstakes. The remaining guns will be included in major gift events going forward.
To date, Benelli’s Super Black Eagle 3 donation to Delta Waterfowl has garnered nearly $240,000 for waterfowl conservation.
