Like Steelhead’s Scout Gun Cabinet, the high security Scout Ammo Cabinet is constructed with 14-gauge steel and patent-pending vertical beam locking technology. It includes a high-quality, UL listed Sargent and Greenleaf Spartan lock protected by a single layer hard plate. The vertical beam locking technology positions the ¼” carriage on end and is fully supported to prevent bending, offering increased security over traditional bolts or bars floating behind a sheet metal door jamb. The locking carriage has 8 locking points that will lock every few inches along the door and each locking point engages with 8 reinforced slots to thwart pry attacks. For comparison, competitors’ cabinets have simple 3-point mechanisms where they lock on the top and bottom with a small rod and lock in the middle with a rotating mechanism.
