At the recent NE Regional Sporting Clays Championship leading up into Nationals in October, Brandon Powell was the Main Event Champion, Beretta FITASC Grand Slam Champion, Super Sport Champion, and finished in the Great American as Master 2. Not to be outdone, Karen Miles was this year’s Lady Main Champion (as well as Master 1), 5-Stand Lady Champion, and Super Sport Lady Champion.
In the Beretta FITASC Grand Slam Team Krieghoff swept the podium with Brandon Powell Champion, Braxton Oliver Runner Up, and Gebben Miles Master 1.
Gebben Miles also took home Master 2 in 5-Stand. Veteran Krieghoff shooter Mike Wilgus took Master 1 and Veteran Champion in Great American and Veteran Champion in Super Sport. Rounding out the weekend’s team’s wins was new Team Krieghoff shooter Joseph Pinchin with Master 3 in the Great American. Additionally, Jim Bellows, a Krieghoff shooter in Senior Super Veteran class swept all events he entered with wins in the Main, FITASC Grand Slam, 5-Stand and Super Sport.
Congratulations to all the Team shooters this past weekend as they get ready for South Central Regionals hosted at Defender Outdoors in Fort Worth and then on to the 2024 National Sporting Clays Championships in October 19-27 at the National Shooting Complex in Texas.
