NASP Selects Experienced Conservation Leader as VP

The National Archery in the Schools Program is extremely excited to announce that Jeff Rawlinson, a respected and experienced administrator from Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, will become the second-ever Vice President of NASP®.

Jeff has served as an Assistant Division Administrator with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission where he has worked for the last 25 years. While serving Nebraska, his team had oversight of recruitment, retention and reactivation of hunters and recreational shooters, hunter/bow hunter education, hunter outreach, National Archery in the Schools Program and shooting range development for the commission.

Jeff is a devout hunter, angler, shooter, wildlife viewer, naturalist, father and husband. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He has been a hunter and bowhunter education instructor for over 25 years, National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) Archery Instructor Specialist for the last 20 years, NRA firearms instructor and range officer, and member of the NASP® and National Bowhunter Education Board of Directors.

He is the Vice Chair of the Midwest Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies R3 and relevancy committee and sits on the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies hunter recruitment and retention as well as education committees. Jeff loves to chase turkeys in the spring, deer and squirrels in the fall, eat gourmet meals from the duck blind and pontificate about the outdoors. He loves to spend outdoor time with family and friends and instill the excitement of the outdoors in everyone he meets.

His NASP® duties will include the growing positive relationship between NASP® and the nation’s state fish and wildlife agencies, conservation organizations and various shooting sports organizations. Jeff will also be involved in the coordination of all internal and external NASP® activities as well as day-to-day operations.

NASP® President Tommy Floyd said, “Jeff has developed tremendous positive relationships with state fish and wildlife agencies, conservation organizations, and the entire R3 community through his work with Nebraska. His personal passion for the outdoors, and his deep commitment to connecting young people to the outdoors, makes him a great candidate to help lead our growing organization. If you spend much time with him, you will also hear Jeff speak of his deep passionate belief in what NASP® is and has done for the millions of young people that participate. I am extremely excited about the days ahead with Jeff coming on as Vice President of NASP®!”
