Team Mathews carries the momentum through the second ASA event in Russell County, Alabama, despite tough weather conditions and steep competition. Overall, Team Mathews claimed seven podiums, including two first place finishes in the Men’s Known Pro and Senior Known Pro divisions.
“Fort Benning proved to be another great event for us,” stated Mathews Pro Staff Manager, Derek Phillips. “The team battled through extremely tough conditions all weekend and still had significant success despite the torrential rains on day one.”
Mathews’ own Kyle Douglas has had an outstanding start to the 2024 3D season securing back-to-back 1st place finishes for Team Mathews in the Men’s Known Pro Division. Douglas looks to carry the momentum through the rest of the season with his sights set on yet another Shooter of the Year title.
“I tend to shoot my best when my back is against the wall and luckily for me, I was able to make them count when it mattered most this tournament,” stated Douglas. “It always feels great to lead a tournament wire to wire but there’s definitely something special about the come from behind victories!”
Team Shooter Randy Morocco took top honors in the Senior Known Pro Division followed closely by teammate Tim Gillingham who managed to secure second place.
