SLG2, Inc Honors NSSF and Project ChildSafe with Safety Award

NSSF Praises House Committee for Standing with Hunters

LAS VEGAS — SLG2, Inc recognized NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, and NSSF’s Project ChildSafe® firearm safety program with its Safe LivinG Excellence in Safety Award during the industry’s SHOT Show®.

SLG2, Inc’s founder, Karen Butler, presented the award to Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO, during Project ChildSafe’s annual Women of the Gun event at the SHOT Show, the trade show for the hunting, shooting, outdoors and law enforcement industries.

“We are thrilled to present NSSF the Safe LivinG Excellence in Safety Award,” said Butler. “The safety resources NSSF makes available through its Project ChildSafe, suicide awareness and other safety programs set the standard for the firearm industry by giving people the information they need to be safe, responsible gun owners.”

Bartozzi accepted the award, saying “We recognize the great work that Shoot Like a Girl has accomplished by providing women of all ages the opportunity to enjoy target shooting and learn about firearms safety. We are honored to receive this award from them. We’ll continue to work with Shoot Like a Girl to promote the benefits of the shooting sports and the responsible use and storage of firearms.”

SLG2, Inc’s brands Shoot Like a Girl and Safe LivinG share the mission to empower people to participate in shooting sports with confidence. The organization, launched in 2008, has introduced more than 36,000 people, mostly women, to target shooting and archery, including people with physical disabilities.
