In related news, the Commerce Department has announced a 90-day halt on exports of most US-made firearms. This move also includes the reassessment of its support of the country’s major gun trade show. The aim is to ensure such backing does not undermine US policy interests. This pause in approval of new export licenses for the commercial sale of semiautomatic and non-automatic firearms could potentially impact the growth of gun sales abroad.
