2023 NASP Coordinator Conference A Great Success

2023 NASP Coordinator Conference A Great Success

NASP® coordinators, NASP® staff and NASP® sponsors gathered in-person and virtually from 42 states and Canada to discuss the ongoing progress of the world’s largest youth archery program. The highly successful event was sponsored by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Feradyne Outdoors.

Coordinators, NASP® staff and NASP® sponsors enjoyed the two-day summit with presentations and round table discussions on all aspects of offering NASP®. Ideas were shared among all those who do the valuable work in 49 states and beyond. One obvious aspect of the annual conference continues to be the camaraderie and networking among attendees that continues to make this annual conference a huge benefit for attending jurisdictions as well as to NASP®.

NASP® President Tommy Floyd said, “This is some of the most important time we spend each year! It feels like a family reunion of sorts, where folks gather to help students discover the joy of safely becoming an archer! Our coordinators are passionate, driven, and so collaborative to help each other find success in their respective states. Our sponsors continue to make this conference meaningful for everyone. The positive relationships that form among this group continues to inspire everyone to find new ways to promote and grow the program. We are very grateful for the opportunity to assemble each year. NASP® continues to reach new students each year in grades 4-12 through in-school archery. More than 21 million students have experienced the safety and fun of NASP® since inception in 2002. More than 104,000 educators have been trained as Basic Archery Instructors over the last 21 years. The future of the National Archery in the Schools Program is extremely bright!”
